Yes you can change the wheels. This will require either a little force to pull the wheels off or a light tap with a rubber mallet. We also stock a high quality Rubber Caster Wheel that you might prefer.

The chair was easy to put together and its such a nice chair for leaning back during those times you want to relax or watch a training video etc. I'm 5'2 and I can only just sit comfortably with my feet on the floor. With the addition of the rubber rollers, it made chair too high, so I took them off. I've since found I'm a tilt forward worker, so I will look for something with that capability next, but its not urgent because this chair is quite nice.
