Our story
At Desky, we make active working the normal way to work in Australia. From the first desk we shipped out of Brisbane to a full range of ergonomic office and gaming furniture, everything we build is designed around how people actually work.
Our story
Desky started in Brisbane in 2020 with a narrow idea: the sit stand desk market made you choose between something that wobbled and something that took six weeks and a quote. Neither was a good answer, so we built the third one.
Six years on, that is still the whole method. Every product starts with a problem someone actually has, gets engineered around the frame rather than around a price point, and goes to independent testing before it goes on sale. We would rather be slow and right than first and loud.
Today 300,000 people work at a Desky, and twelve thousand of them have left us five stars. We are Australian owned, still based in Brisbane, and still stubborn about the parts nobody sees.

Our range
The frame is where the engineering lives and the desktop is where you make it yours. So there is one thing we build the same way every time, and more than thirty ways to finish it: melamine, bamboo, rubberwood, softwood and real hardwood, in five leg colours, from a 1200mm home office desk up to a 2000mm top or a left or right return L-shape.
The rest of the office matters just as much. Monitor arms, cable trays, power rails, footrests, laptop risers, anti-fatigue mats and a full chair range, all designed to work with the desk instead of alongside it. A real workspace is a dozen things that have to agree with each other, and that is the part most brands leave to you.

For gamers too
A six hour raid and a six hour work day put the same load on the same spine. So the gaming range runs the same frames and the same ergonomic thinking, tuned for the setup: deeper tops for triple monitor arrays, cable routing built for a tower and a console, and seating designed to hold posture at hour five rather than minute five.
Built to last
A standing desk lives or dies on what happens at full height with two monitors on it. Ours run three stage legs in cold rolled steel, dual motors rated past 20,000 cycles, anti-collision as standard, and a frame that carries 150kg. Sitting to standing takes about ten seconds, at 40dB, which is quiet enough to raise the desk mid call without anyone on the other end noticing.
Then we hand it to someone else to check. BIFMA, EESS, TUV Rheinland, and AFRDI, Australia's most trusted quality assurance body and a prerequisite for government supply. Cable management is built into the frame rather than bolted underneath it, so the tray, the power and the cabling travel with the desk instead of fighting it. It is the part nobody photographs and the part you notice every day for ten years.
Our responsibility
Our timber carries FSC, PEFC and Responsible Wood certification, and our products are Global GreenTag certified at GOLD PLUS, GreenRate Level A, which covers what comes off the surface as well as what goes into it. Several of our chairs are built from recycled material and can be recycled again at the end of their life.
The bigger lever is time. A desk that lasts ten years is a desk that is not in landfill in year three, so we back the frames for a decade and we hold the parts to keep them running. A dead controller does not kill a desk. A scratched top does not condemn a working frame. Frames and desktops are separate parts, so a Desky moves house in pieces instead of going to the kerb.
Our Almost Perfect range closes the loop. Stock with a mark, a dent or a finish flaw that misses our quality bar gets sold at a discount instead of written off. You save, and a working desk stays out of the waste stream.
