What should I consider when picking a gaming chair?

There are just a few things to consider and they really boil down to your height, sitting posture, and weight. Playing video games can be even more exhausting if you're not using the right gaming setup.

Chairs for gamers should make you feel comfortable while still giving your body the proper support it needs for extended gaming sessions. Be sure to pick up one that comes with a lumbar pillow so you don't find yourself suffering from strained neck muscles or pain in your lower back after sitting for extended periods of time. Your posture is also something to keep in mind as improper posture can have negative health consequences, especially over long periods of time. Look out for chairs with adjustable armrests, an adjustable seat depth, and adjustable headrest, and a height adjustable seat.

An adjustable lumbar cushion is a must for anyone experiencing back pain, or anyone who wants to avoid it in the future.

In order to keep your arms at the right level, and avoid RSI and other muscular injuries, adjustable armrests are a must. The upper arms should be at a 90 degree angle with the body, typically achieved by adjusting armrests before moving on to seat height. Are gamer chairs worth it?

Are gaming chairs better than office chairs?

This is not what you need from an office chair. Whilst a certain amount of adjustability is required when working, a more upright, supported posture will improve your productivity and comfort.
