Three-layer cross-hatch lamination: Our bamboo desktops are manufactured using thousands of bamboo strips that have been UV cured, laminated and layered in a cross-hatch formation resulting in one of the strongest desks in our range.
Durable Coating: The bamboo desktop after being assembled is then coated using multiple layers of polyurethane finish which seal the bamboo pieces and ensures that the desk will last a lifetime. This coating is non-toxic, child friendly and also spill-resistant.
Threaded Inserts: Desky Desktop Inserts are designed and placed on our desktops with precision engineering to ensure optimal longevity. These machined threads enable precise tabletop installation on the frame, as well as the ability to build and disassemble your Desky as needed. This will ensure that your tabletop lasts a lifetime.

In short, the DESKY Dual Sit Stand desks offers a greater weight capacity and height range and better stability at raised heights with dual motors and a 3-stage lifting system. This is ideal for heavier computer setups and those wanting the best sit to stand height range.
The DESKY Single Sit Stand desk frame is powered by a single electric motor that has an 80kg capacity and height range of 73-123cm. The DESKY Dual Sit Stand desk frame is our premium desk frame powered by a dual motor system with 150kg capacity and best in class height range of 60-125cm.
Definitely not! The Desky Dual Mini may be smaller in size but it uses the same motors and control system as our larger Desky Dual sit stand desk range so there is no compromise in quality or function. The only restriction is that the desk frame does not suit all of our under-desk cable management options. For this desk we recommend the Desky Mini Cable Tray.
Bamboo is exceptionally durable - around 40% stronger than many traditional hardwoods, making it a solid, rigid desktop that resists sagging even under heavy loads or at longer lengths. Like all natural materials, it can still show signs of everyday use and may scratch over time. As bamboo ages, its colour can also change, becoming slightly lighter or darker as part of its natural character.
Our bamboo desktops have a smooth, flat surface. They're made from 100% compressed solid bamboo and are coated with a durable, wear-resistant UV finish. This provides a protective and long-lasting seal without any harmful chemicals.
Unfortunately, our Bamboo desktops are only available in a select range of rectangular sizes and do not have an Ergo Edge option.
If you are interested in a custom size or shape desktop, we can assist with a premium melamine desktop option. We also have specific desktops available with Ergo Edges in a number of colours and finishes. Please contact us via the Contact page or email orders@desky.com.au directly for a quote and more information.
For cable management, you can use the Mini Cable and Power Tray with the Dual Mini Desk, as it is fully compatible. However, due to space limitations, we do not recommend using CPU mounts or drawers with the Dual Mini. We suggest reviewing the specifications of all accessories to ensure proper compatibility.
Yes, our Melamine desktops come with pre-drilled holes for easy assembly of the desktop to your desk frame. You do not need a power drill or tools, simply just a Phillips head screwdriver and the included hex keys.
Absolutely! To simplify cable management, we can cut and install grommets exactly where you want them. These protective inserts provide neat, smooth openings for your cables.
To include this option in your order, just visit the Desk Cable Grommet Hole page and choose your preferred cut-out location.
Yes, we offer the same desk frames that we use for all of our height adjustable sit stand desks as frames only so you can use an existing desktop. This is a great option for existing office spaces that have matching cabinetry and furniture. You can view our Sit Stand Desk Frames here.
Assembly will take as little as 30 minutes and each desktop we supply comes with pre-drilled holes to make assembly as quick as possible without needing any power tools. You can do this by yourself but we do recommend having two people to turn the desk over when finished assembly.
For detailed, step by step instructions please watch the assembly video for each desk or refer to the instructions manual included with each desk.
Our M10 caster wheels are compatible with the Dual Mini Desk. Please note that using these wheels will raise the desk height by 8 cm
We recommend leaving your desk plugged in continuously – the desk has a low draw power supply to help minimise power consumption.
Delivery was well communicated. Packaging was secure. Set-up was (surprisingly) easy. Quality is great. No issues and love the optionality of sit / stand for my work space.
Easy to assemble, delivery was quick and easy, zero dramas
This desk was what my office was missing all this time. It fit perfectly in my apartment and it's helping me reduce my back pain :)
I needed a small desk that was decent in value, that would save me from moving furniture, and be able to adjust the height as well as match my existing cupboard furniture in my basement ! Desky was the best choice to go with!
It fits perfectly in between my wall and tv cabinet and matches the wood/colour texture.
Easy to set up, took less than an hour, instructions were very easy ! Excellent quality as always ! May even look for a third desk!
Works great could have used an extra set of hands to assemble it a little quicker but it was straight forward enough with easy to follow instructions
Perfect desk for my space! Love the bamboo finish.
I wish there was a slightly wider option, like 42" -44" though.
Very sturdy and high quality standing desk. Was looking for a standing desk with this dimension for my partner’s WFH setup with an 32-inch monitor and really happy with this desk. The bamboo table top is quite nice and doesn’t feel cheap like the MDF standing tables we got from a certain Scandinavian furniture chain.
Assembly was a bit tricky but the videos helped - be mindful that there are a few variations on the video as it was done with a slightly larger Dual Mini and not the 800x500mm.
Been using it for almost a month and happy to recommend to others.
Great desk. Sturdy and no issues with movement. Looks great.
My new work area is perfect now with the Dual Mini Bamboo sit stand, the stool and cabinet
For small space it was the perfect desk and stool
Just disappointed that the drawer didn’t fit the desk
Love my new sit stand sewing table. It allows me to change height to relieve my shoulders and prevent my neck from aching.
Fantastic experience from Desky who were brilliant to deal with when I wanted to add castors to the order. Excellent product which matches my sit stand computer desk. Love the bamboo top. Easy to assemble- for my husband. Glides up and down effortlessly. Quality product. Delivery company didn’t deliver in expected timeframe but I can live with that.
Fantastic quality desk. Is so hard to find a small standing desk but the 1100mm bamboo is perfect for a small apartment.
Really happy with my Desky. The quality is superior. It’s incredibly solid, and the sit stand function is powerful and transitions smoothly. Love the desk top colour too.
